Compensation
Starting pay is between $30.20 and $35.19 per hour, depending on experience.
Shift schedules: S‑Shift: Sunday – Tuesday, every other Wednesday; 6:50 am – 6:50 pm.
B‑Shift: Thursday – Saturday, every other Wednesday; 6:50 am – 6:50 pm.
Attendance Bonus
Earn an additional 8.4% of wages weekly.
Element Resources operates one of the leading battery recycling facilities in the country and has served the Forest City community for over 30 years.
The Industrial Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all electrical systems, manufacturing equipment, and power distribution components within the recycling plant. Candidates must be skilled in corrosive environments, high‑voltage equipment, and OHSA safety standards for acid handling and lead exposure.

Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance on heavy machinery, including conveyor systems, crushers, separators, furnaces, and pollution control equipment.
- Diagnose and repair complex electrical failures in 3‑phase motors, motor control centers (MCCs), PLC systems, and robotic components.
- Inspect, clean, and replace electrical components (conduits, junction boxes, panels) degraded by sulfuric acid fumes and dust; implement specialized sealing/protection for installations.
- Enforce OSHA safety procedures, including Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO), arc flash safety, and PPE requirements.
- Install new electrical circuits, conduit, wiring, and machinery in accordance with National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
- Calibrate sensors, timers, and PID controllers used in furnace monitoring and acid filtration systems.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and inspections using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience as an industrial electrician, preferably in heavy manufacturing, foundry, or chemical processing.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, blueprints, 480 V 3‑phase systems.
- Experience troubleshooting PLCs (Allen‑Bradley/Siemens).
- Journeyman Electrician License preferred.
- In‑depth knowledge of OSHA regulations concerning hazardous materials and lead safety.
- Physical stamina: ability to work in tight spaces, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs, and wear full protective gear (respirators, acid‑resistant suits).

- Environment: extremely hot, loud, and corrosive (sulfuric acid mist).
- Hazards: potential exposure to lead dust and sulfuric acid fumes; requires stringent hygiene protocols (shower‑out procedures).
