Full‑Time | Day Shift | Monday-Friday (Occasional Saturday)

Pay:
Up to $30/hour (Based on Experience)

Paradise Locker Meats is hiring an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support equipment reliability in a fast‑paced meat processing and food production facility. This role is responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and facility systems. This is a hands‑on position requiring strong problem‑solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work safely in a USDA‑inspected production environment.

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on processing and packaging equipment
• Diagnose and repair motors, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors
• Repair vacuum pumps and processing equipment
• Maintain pneumatic systems (air lines, cylinders, regulators, solenoids)
• Deal with basic electrical controls (contractors, relays, overloads, switches)
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime
• Assist with equipment installs, upgrades, and modifications
• Maintain facility systems and perform building maintenance as needed
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and diagrams
• Communicate with equipment manufacturers, vendors, and service technicians to troubleshoot, diagnose, and coordinate repairs
• Maintain maintenance logs, inventory tracking, and parts organization
• Follow OSHA and LOTO safety procedures

This is a production plant role. Technicians should be comfortable working around:

• Raw meat and food products
• Blood and strong odors
• Wet and slippery floors
• Temperature extremes (hot/cold areas)
• Fast‑paced operations with strict sanitation requirements

Required:

• 2+ years of industrial or plant maintenance experience or less experience with a technical school degree
• Mechanical troubleshooting ability
• Working knowledge of electrical systems and controls
• Experience with pneumatic systems
• Ability to read schematics
• Familiarity with OSHA safety practices
• Basic computer skills (Excel, inventory tracking)

Preferred:

• Food processing or meat plant experience
• Welding or fabrication skills
• Experience with meat processing or packaging equipment
