- Perform maintenance duties and responsibilities.
- Read technical manuals to understand equipment and controls.
- Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring, and testing instruments.
- Provide emergency repairs of production equipment during production.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, and power tools.
- Controls downtimes by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques.
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Previous experience with machine maintenance.
- Bachelors Degree or technical experience.
- Ability to interpret and implement OSHA standards for the facility.
- Troubleshooting equipment and strong understanding of machine control logic.
- Attention to detail is critical.
- Workers should be able to reassemble large, complex machines after finishing a repair.
- Safety conscious at all times.
- Reliable transportation to and from work (must have a valid driver’s license).
- Ability to take and pass pre‑employment drug screening test.
- Requires the ability to lift, push, pull and carry tools and warehouse materials weighing up to 65 pounds on a frequent basis.
- Requires prolonged standing or walking, frequent bending, stooping, and reaching daily.
- Requires the ability to climb ladders to pick or put away products.
- Requires a full range of physical motion to operate manual and electrically powered tools and machines (i.e., forklift).
