Maintenance Technician

• Perform maintenance duties and responsibilities.
• Read technical manuals to understand equipment and controls.
• Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring, and testing instruments.
• Provide emergency repairs of production equipment during production.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
• Removes defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, and power tools.
• Controls downtimes by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques.
• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

• Previous experience with machine maintenance.
• Bachelors Degree or technical experience.
• Ability to interpret and implement OSHA standards for the facility.
• Troubleshooting equipment and strong understanding of machine control logic.
• Attention to detail is critical.
• Workers should be able to reassemble large, complex machines after finishing a repair.
• Safety conscious at all times.
• Reliable transportation to and from work (must have a valid driver’s license).
• Ability to take and pass pre‑employment drug screening test.

• Requires the ability to lift, push, pull and carry tools and warehouse materials weighing up to 65 pounds on a frequent basis.
• Requires prolonged standing or walking, frequent bending, stooping, and reaching daily.
• Requires the ability to climb ladders to pick or put away products.
• Requires a full range of physical motion to operate manual and electrically powered tools and machines (i.e., forklift).
