This opportunity is for our Electric Heat business. Electric Heat is a trusted leader in electric heating and ventilation solutions for commercial, industrial, and residential applications. Backed by the strength of ASPEQ Heating Group and Marley Engineered Products, we offer a wide range of standard and customized products through leading brands like QMark, Indeeco, Berko, and Brasch. SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Material Handler, you will utilize equipment to provide material and parts to support production needs.
Job ResponsibilitiesWhile each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:
- Stock part bins
- Set up layout carts
- Unload sheet metal & lumber
- Put away miscellaneous parts & elements
- Assist in shipping as needed
- Remove empty pallets, crates & boxes from production floor
- Empty trash, sweep
- Assist in keeping production areas clean & tidy
We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:
- Required Experience:
One to three months related experience and/or training - Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Prior forklift experience and certifications - High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Travel & Working Environment:
Employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
