** Job Description Summary
** Under the supervision of a supervisor, this position is responsible for the efficient operation, performance, and safety of the peelers, barrel washers, preheaters, cutter deck, blancher, dryer, fryer, batter system, additive system, sucrose system, SAPP and getting up front checks.  This position requires close communication with the QA lab and Team Leaders.  This position will rotate through 4 different areas(Peeler, Batter, Cutter, and Fryer positions) in order to split up the work load.

** This position is required to work shift work, rotating shifts with the team every four days.  It is necessary to work weekends.  Process operators are expected to set an example out on the line.  The expectation is that process operators will be invoved in a daily safety huddles(DRA meetings), lead shift DS(Direction setting) meetings continually monitoring quality, drive performance and set an example of world class safety.

Operators will be working with state of the art processing equipment that is controlled primarily via computers, SCADA and PLCs, so an understanding of this equipment is essential for troubleshooting skills and continuous improvement. Perform all AMD activities as needed.# SPECIFIC DUTIES
1.
Operate all pertinent equipment (Peelers to preheaters).2.
Employee will carry the radio for the processing end.
3.
Employee will be responsible for changing out knives on the cutter deck.
4.
Employee will be responsible for monitoring feathering.
5.
Employee will be responsible for checking cut size.
6.
Employee will be responsible for adjusting the welliver sizer.
7.
Employee will be responsible for understanding all pertinent water loops.
8.
Employee will be responsible for monitoring waste stream.
9.
Employee will be responsible for monitoring shorts and slivers.
10.
Employee will be responsible for monitoring up front length.
11.
Employee will be responsible for clearing plug ups.
12.
Employee will be responsible for monitoring pulp temperature.
13.
Employee will need to enter information into computer system.
14.
Employee will be responsible for monitoring the blancher, dryer and fryer.
15.
Employee will be responsible for operation of the blancher.
16.
Employee will be responsible for getting up front quality checks.
17.
Employee will be responsible for monitoring the viscosity at the applicator.
18.
Employee will be responsible for cleaning/adjusting the batter applicator.
19.
Employee needs to monitor the fryer for buildup or potential fire points.
20.
Employee needs to monitor oil filtration devices;  Kasons, cyclones, Oberlin and Dalsorb systems.
21.
Employee will be responsible for operation of the fryer.
22.
Employee will be responsible for loading: batter, sucrose and SAPP.
23.
Employee will be responsible for mixing batter and ingredients.
24.
Employee will be responsible for measuring viscosity at the mixer, and entering into computer.
25.
Employee will be responsible for making sure batter ticket information is correct according to specs.
26.
Employee will be responsible for knowing the water loops in regards to the batter system.
