Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Manufacturing Manager (Level K) to support the Aerospace Composites Center (ACC) in Hazelwood, MO!

The Aerospace Composites Center has state-of-the-art enabled capabilities and operates to support Boeing's Fighter Programs. The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for supervising day-to-day operations in a fabrication or manufacturing environment. This role focuses on leading frontline teams, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards, while meeting production goals and schedules.

Position Responsibilities:

* Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines

* Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies

* Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

* Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

* Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

* Manages, develops and motivates employees First Line Leader Assessment:
To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
* Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."

* High School diploma or GED

* 5+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing

* 3+ years of experience with process improvement and lean manufacturing

* Experience working with collective bargaining agreements and/or a union represented workforce

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
* Bachelor's Degree or higher, or equivalent work or military experience

* Experience with special processes including heat treatment of metals, welding and chemical processes

* Experience with Composites Fabrication

* Experience in a leadership role driving organizational and operational change management

* Experience achieving planned business goals and objectives and improvement activities utilizing Boeing Production System (BPS) or Lean Manufacturing principles and processes Conflict of Interest:
