Senior Production Maintenance Technician

To support preventative maintenance and repairing of production equipment and special projects as required of the manufacturing department. Perform a variety of duties in electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic or optical areas, including troubleshooting, adjusting, testing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment, components, devices, or systems.

Schedule:

Sunday - Thursday 4am - 12:30pm. Ability to work overtime when necessary

Essential Functions

• Be self-motivated and able to work as a member of a team when needed
• Ensure a safe and quality working environment through training, awareness, and compliance to safety guidelines and SOP's
• Follow and promote on-the-job safety expectations, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following cGMP rules and guidelines in all designated areas
• Maintain proper housekeeping expectations
• Work from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions
• Perform all assigned PM's and work orders on time and make preventative maintenance checks and inspections as required
• Perform alignment checks; make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed
• Respond to production-down issues in a manner that minimizes downtime
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical system in an industrial environment
• Test equipment after repairs and leave equipment and area in a clean, safe condition
• Identify and purchase/maintain spare parts inventory
• Maintain operational compliance with US and international regulatory agencies and guidelines (i.e. FDA, EU, HC, TGA, PIC/S, ISO, USP, NRC, cGMP, etc.)
• Provide leadership to other engineers through effective communications, coaching, training and development; eliminate roadblocks in order for the team to move forward

Requirements

• Technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical systems or related field required
• Six or more years of relevant experience required
• Required experience with industrial/commercial electricity, Building Management Systems, strong troubleshooting skills
• Preferred experience with pipe fitting, WFI or USP water systems, air compressors and vacuum systems, chilled water system maintenance and operation, welding, machining, shop equipment operations, 3-D printing and Root Cause Analysis

Working Conditions

• Willingness to work in plant producing radioactive materials and requiring all employees to participate in safety programs designed to minimize potential and/or actual exposure levels
• Responsibilities include the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, kneeling, crouching, twisting the upper body, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, reaching, must be able to physically negotiate stairs and evacuation ladders with or without accommodation, wear and operate safety equipment, enter vessels, and inspect equipment
• Material handling devices (e.g., hand truck, fork truck, and conveyors) are used when possible, however, use of proper lifting and movement techniques is necessary to prevent injury
• Must be willing to wear a variety of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and hearing protection as needed
• May be required to sit or stand for long periods of 8+ hours a day while performing duties
• Must possess good hand-eye coordination; close attention to detail is required
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors with exposure to mechanical/moving parts, hazards including corrosive, flammable and toxic material, dust, dirt, odors, and irritants
• Willingness to complete safety training within allotted time frames, and work in a team-based environment
• Must be able to work outside of regular work hours, including off shift, weekend, and holiday work as business needs require
