CNC Setup Technician / CNC Programmer Machinist
Our client, a leader in the fuel dispensing industry, is seeking a skilled CNC Setup Technician / CNC Programmer Machinist to join their team in a clean, heated, and air‑conditioned manufacturing environment. Training will be conducted on 1st shift. This role is responsible for setting up, programming, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining CNC machining equipment to produce high-quality precision components according to engineering specifications and production standards.
Key Responsibilities- Set up, program, and operate CNC machining equipment including Mazatrol‑controlled machines.
- Perform CNC programming and CAM programming to optimize machining processes and productivity.
- Operate manual machines and assist with tooling setup and adjustments.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and work instructions.
- Inspect and approve parts using applicable gauges, bore gauges, CMMs, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Verify parts to print using computer‑generated test criteria and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues and collaborate with engineering teams to implement process improvements.
- Perform routine machine maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety‑focused work environment.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must pass machinability test.
- Prior experience setting up and operating CNC machines required.
- Mazatrol programming and setup experience is required.
- Experience with turning and horizontal machining preferred.
- Strong knowledge of tooling, machining processes, and problem‑solving techniques.
- Experience with CMM operation and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Familiarity with Solid Works and CAM programming is a plus.
- Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong attendance and reliability required.
- Pay range: $36.00–$40.00/hour based on experience
