Essential Job Functions- Adhere to all health and safety policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and wear the required personal protective equipment in warehouse or production areas, including hairnets, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard‑toe shoes, slip‑resistant footwear, gloves, and seatbelts while operating forklifts.
- Maintain food quality and food safety according to corporate, customer, and governing standards (e.g., SQF).
- Apply practical knowledge of SQF and HACCP to address related inquiries.
- Read, comprehend, and follow a production manufacturing schedule; communicate issues or deviations with appropriate parties and respond to inquiries.
- Maintain production flow by monitoring upstream and downstream issues, supplying raw materials to equipment, and performing minor servicing when needed.
- Follow all Quality Assurance and Production line standard operating procedures.
- Perform equipment changeovers, reading imperial and metric measurements.
- Completely and accurately record all necessary information for production and quality records, keeping accurate downtime reports and documentation.
- Perform equipment and general sanitation tasks as assigned.
- Collaborate with all departments to improve quality, increase efficiencies, and reduce waste.
- Identify raw material defects that could impact production quality, reduce efficiencies, or increase waste.
- Interpret visual and auditory cues to identify production or machine‑related issues.
- Assist in training new employees.
- Perform minor machine maintenance and daily/weekly preventive maintenance.
- Perform any other duties assigned by leadership, including cross‑training, general and plant sanitation, inventory management, and training.
- Experience in a high‑speed beverage production environment; independently operate and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
- Understanding of production machinery and forklifts, including technical issues.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
- Basic mathematical proficiency.
- Skill in interpreting gauges.
- Formal training in WHMIS, HACCP, hygiene, etc. preferred.
- Forklift certification may be required.
- Problem‑Solving – troubleshoot machinery and production issues efficiently, collaborating with others.
- Continuous Improvement – commit to practices that enhance production efficiency and product quality.
- Troubleshooting – minimize downtime and waste by handling process and equipment issues.
- Teamwork – collaborate with coworkers to achieve production targets and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Documentation – accurately record production data and maintain organized records.
- Safety Awareness – understand safety protocols, hazard identification, and adhere to regulations; complete monthly Alchemy training.
- Communication – effective verbal and written communication with team members and supervisors; report issues accurately; follow escalation processes.
- High‑school certification or equivalent.
- 1‑3 years of relevant manufacturing experience required.
- Work schedule may include weekdays, weekends, afternoons, evenings, overnight, and holidays; overtime as needed.
- Fast‑paced production plant with many moving parts; noise requires hearing protection; temperatures may be hot or cold. Structured and supervised environment with clear production targets and schedules.
