Location: Louisiana

Senior level Continuous Improvement leader responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Kenco Operating System (KOS) at our Distribution Center. The role includes cross‑functional activities such as Lean, Work Measurement & Accountability, Six Sigma, Quality, Financial Management, Training, and Project Management. The CI Leader serves as the change agent within the network to deploy KOS in support of Operational Excellence.

Functions
  • Supports and enables the deployment of Kenco Operating System (KOS) at the assigned site with general/minimal supervision
  • Serves as a project champion adviser and provides guidance on project selection, definition, prioritization, and completion
  • Provides regular feedback and updates on active projects
  • Assists site leadership in fostering the Kenco Guiding Principles
  • Assists site leadership in developing and executing the KOS implementation plan
  • Facilitates and coaches KOS training at the site level
  • Provides ongoing education in data‑driven improvement philosophies and methods at all employee levels
  • Manages the site KOS deployment on an ongoing basis
  • Coaches and mentors leaders and associates on standard work, quality management systems, work measurement, Lean, Six Sigma, financial management, project management, and effective training
  • Calculates financial cost and benefits of process changes; validates results with process owners
  • Instills KOS ownership through training, mentoring, coaching, and technical support at site and functional levels
  • Influences leadership on KOS principles, processes, and tools as defined in the implementation plan
  • Partners with network leaders to develop and complete KOS deployment and action plans, conduct maturity assessments and phase‑gate reviews
  • Shares knowledge with other Continuous Improvement leaders and teams across the organization to support ongoing updates of KOS enhancements
  • Drives breakthrough performance and expectations through the network
  • Drives solutions to assigned tasks with a proactive problem‑solving approach
  • Adapts KOS concepts flexibly to meet business needs
  • Presents data to internal and external stakeholders
  • Performs process mapping, value stream mapping, process design, methods development, establishes performance standards/metrics, ROI analysis, and project management
  • Issues written and oral instructions to employees as needed
  • Assigns duties and reviews work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures related to EIP
  • Coaches employees to improve performance and expand skills per EIP
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university in a related discipline; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 6–8 years of relevant experience
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or Master Black Belt certification; ability to give detailed examples of lean manufacturing techniques
  • Technical competencies in Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Process Management, ISO, Change Management, and advanced statistical techniques
  • Basic knowledge of material handling equipment and other machinery
  • Results‑oriented change agent with ability to interface with all levels of an organization, build consensus, and drive solutions
  • Ability to calculate and interpret figures such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, and area; apply basic algebra and geometry
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret, and write safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Experience with statistical software such as Minitab, Crystal Ball, Statistical, SPC XL, SPSS, etc.
  • Competence in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
  • Strong communication skills – ability to speak before groups of employees or customers and write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to quantify impact on process metrics and financials
  • Skill in coaching and mentoring for on‑the‑job application of new skills
