Position Title
CNC Operator
Wage$20.00-$30.00 per hour
Shift1st
Hours6:00am-2:30pm (Mon-Fri)
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and skilled Fabrication/Machining Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for operating a variety of fabrication and CNC machining equipment to produce custom parts according to customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. This is a 1st shift position in St.
Louis, MO with the opportunity for hire.
- Operate multiple types of fabrication equipment.
- Operate tools according to instructions, specifications, and standard charts.
- Place and secure work pieces in proper machine table, holding device, or other appropriate surface using clamps and wrenches.
- Load, operate, and manufacture a variety of parts using CNC machining centers to make custom parts according to customer orders and instructions.
- Follow written instructions from internal and external customers and interpret basic to intermediate blueprint specifications.
- Perform work independently with minimal defects.
- Basic recognition of tooling and procedures within established tolerances.
- Complete work order paperwork.
- Check parts for conformance to customer specifications.
- Maintain count and perform packaging duties as required.
- Participate in cross training activities to become knowledgeable of equipment/process within the department.
- Perform routine daily machine maintenance including cleaning up and lubrication.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Provide guidance, feedback and positive behavior.
- Determine if tools are undamaged and in safe condition for use.
- Make suggestions to improve production and order processing efficiency.
- Assist with training other team members.
- Follow safety rules and quality standards.
- Requires knowledge of machining techniques and methods.
- Familiarity with computer numerically controlled machine tool operating procedures.
- Communicate with supervisor on work order priority.
- Open to change due to emergency orders or fabrication of parts.
- Basic to intermediate math skills and/or aptitudes.
- Ability to use basic measuring instruments.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
- Must be able to pass QPS and company screening process.
