Job Overview
Hon Operator – 2nd Shift located in Crowley, TX. You will begin employment with ChampionX and transition to SLB as part of the planned integration. Shift: 4:15 pm – 3:00 am, Monday‑Thursday (10‑hour, 4‑day schedule).

- Produce barrels using saws, straighteners, CNC equipment, hones, paint equipment, and inspection processes following standard work methods.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to maintain high quality standards.
- Participate in daily team meetings to support Harbison‑Fischer’s strategy.
- Operate all machines and equipment within the department.
- Cross‑train on multiple pieces of equipment and processes to maximize productivity.
- Rotate among all necessary processes as needed.
- Assist teammates to produce required parts according to customer demand.
- Use hand‑held measuring devices (micrometers, calipers, tape measures) for inspection and measurement.
- Perform repetitive motions throughout the process.
- Stay focused on task completion.
- Engage in continuous training in Lean, Kaizen, PDCA, and Operational Excellence principles.
- Lead or participate in PDCA projects as assigned.
- Work overtime when required.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- Drug and alcohol test.
- Criminal background check.
- Education and certification verification.
- Employment verification.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 1 year of relevant manufacturing experience.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain productive.
- Commitment to overtime as needed.
- Consistent attendance, initiative, and productivity.
- Read and follow detailed procedures and product specifications.
- Read and understand product specifications, drawings, and prints.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Quick learner of technical topics and new industry knowledge.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; standing or walking for most of the day is required. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and adjust focus. Requires talking or hearing, and use of hands and fingers to pick, feel, inspect material, and reach with arms and hands as needed. Role is safety sensitive and may involve employer or customer drug testing.
