Feed Batching Operator FM- 1st shift - Aurora Feed Mill

Job Overview

Feed Batching Operator FM02 responsible for inventory and operation of the automated batching system in the mill. This is an hourly position for the 1ST SHIFT.

• Maintain inventory of all feed and ingredient bins in the mill.
• Run the computer system to batch feed according to formulas.
• Plan and schedule projected feed needs.
• Operate pelleting equipment and monitor all systems.
• Perform quality checks and sampling as directed.

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Windows-based applications.
• At least 6 months continuous work history with a single employer within the last 12 months.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexible to accommodate changing feed needs and shift requirements.
• Internal candidates considered first.

• Lift 50 lbs daily and lift and handle 50 lb bags of ingredients repeatedly.
• Bend, stoop, climb ladders, work at high elevations.
• Communicate with maintenance and management regarding equipment and production needs.
• Perform basic math for determining production needs and inventory.
