Operations Supervisor

Ontic’s Chatsworth, CA office is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead front‑line teams and ensure daily production targets are met, thereby delivering customer satisfaction.

• Resource Management: Allocate and coordinate resources to meet operational objectives.
• Performance Management: Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, manage development, recognize achievements, and ensure accountability and policy adherence.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve day‑to‑day technical and operational issues while coaching the team’s problem‑solving capabilities.
• Process Improvement: Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency, improve the production system, and meet customer demand.

• Leadership: Guide, motivate, and inspire teams while fostering collaboration and a positive work environment.
• Critical Thinking & Problem Solving: Analyze situations, evaluate options, and develop effective solutions with logical and creative judgment.
• Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, optimize processes, allocate resources, and sustain productivity while maintaining quality standards. Adjust priorities based on capacity, material availability, and customer demand.
• Team Communication: Model excellent communication with internal stakeholders, support teams, and the team itself.
• Time Management: Identify critical tasks, allocate time and resources, and balance urgent production needs with short‑term improvement initiatives.
• Lean Mindset: Employ lean practices such as 5S, waste reduction, Visual Management, standardized work, and Daily Management System.

  Skills:
  
  Proficient in Excel, Power BI, or Tableau for operational reporting; analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities. Knowledge of ERP systems like SAP and basic understanding of MRP for inventory and scheduling.
