Manufacturing & Industrial Operations, Assembly, Production Associate / Production Line
Location: Louisiana
Assemblers perform a variety of tasks at Wabash that vary from location to location. Assemblers are responsible for tasks such as installing subassemblies, assembling component parts, operating rivet punchers, and installing decals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Owning and helping improve our performance in Safety, Quality, and Delivery
- Keeping the work area free of any potential work hazards
- Measuring, cutting and caulking materials
- Installing rivets
- Operating heavy machinery
- Installing truck bed flooring
- Following decal templates & blueprints
- Installing signs, reflectors, fenders, mud flaps, and other associated parts
- Performing additional work assigned by the supervisor or coordinator, which may require the employee to assist in different departments
- Wearing approved personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses with side shields, respirators, hearing protection, etc.
- Completing assigned duties in accordance with safety, policies, and practices, including your individual safety, as well as the safety of co-workers, and the safe use of equipment in the workplace

Experience and education are a plus; however, it is not required. Wabash provides training for all assembler positions. Upon receiving an offer letter from us, you’ll undergo orientation and several days of training, preparing you for the production floor.

The work environment is characterized by constant attention to safety, environmental, and health concerns. Employees may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, and extreme conditions such as high noise levels and temperatures. Personal production equipment (PPE) is mandatory. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job.
PhysicalDemands
Assemblers must regularly stand, walk, lean, push, climb, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, handle, and operate tools or controls throughout their shift. Full range of motion in arms and hands is required. Communication with fellow employees is essential. Some tasks involve lifting or carrying objects up to 50 pounds. Vision ability includes close focus, ability to adjust focus, and good hand-eye coordination.
