Packaging Engineer, Production QC/QA

Your role at Clorox:
The Packaging department's purpose is to produce high quality finished cases of product in a safe and efficient manner that meets customer requirements and minimizes costs. The purpose of this position is to operate and changeover limited equipment and inspect finished goods and packaging materials for defects. This position must be able to act as a backup for line operators in their absence.
Day to day general direction is provided by the Lead Operator and the Packaging Manager.
Starting hourly rate: $28.43 per hour + $1.30 shift differential.
Work hours:
Sunday to Thursday 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM.
- Machine operation for limited equipment identified in checklists.
- Machine changeovers for limited equipment identified in checklists.
- Perform basic maintenance work on assigned packaging line equipment.
- Perform all required quality control checks, record data as required, and follow-up appropriately.
- Material handling of all supplies and packaging materials needed for assigned packaging line.
- 1-3 years production experience preferred.
- 1-year forklift experience preferred.
- Demonstrated Leadership Experience.
- Demonstrated Communication Skills.
- Advanced troubleshooting/process improvement/root cause analysis experience.
- Demonstrated Project Management Experience.
- Complete all department multiskilled training checklist requirements up to and including Block 6.
- Self‑motivated work behavior.
- Ability to influence other operators to further department objectives.
- In‑depth knowledge of all department equipment and ability to communicate and train others on how to operate or troubleshoot equipment.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills (Microsoft Suites, Synergy, LEDS, EQMS).
- Knowledge of product packaging standards.
- All required safety and regulatory training.
- Ability to climb ladders, drive rail king, and work in semi‑confined or confined areas required.
