These professionals will be responsible for laying out, fitting, and welding heavy plate steel components to assemble tanks and pressure vessels. The ideal candidates are skilled in various welding techniques and can interpret engineering drawings to ensure precise assembly. • Experience with heavy plate steel welding and tank assembly
• Ability to select equipment and plan layouts, assembly, and welding
• Proficiency in Gas-Metal Arc, Flux-Cored Arc, Gas-Tungsten Arc, Submerged Arc, or Shielded Metal Arc Welding processes
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
• Knowledge of shop safety practices and use of personal protective equipment
• Ability to perform minor maintenance or cleaning of tools and equipment
• Compliance with all safety and shop rules
