QPS Employment Group has a great Packer position at a company in Hazelwood, MO. This is a 2nd shift position with the opportunity for hire.

Packer Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Ensure employee understands the importance of keeping press enclosure doors secure.
• Assure proper steel coil number and press number appears on the number stamper.
• Stamp each box with correct number in designated area on box. Do not stamp too far ahead.
• Check counter to ensure proper plate length, pieces per cut, and piece count are entered correctly.
• Explain how to program counter using the information on the box and by using chart.
• Verify employee understands how to determine plate size with and without a tape measure or ruler.
• Review operator control buttons and the rules regarding control panels. For example:
  Only authorized personnel are to adjust press speed.
• Explain the functions of the "Top Stop" and "Emergency Stop" and when to use them.
• Review procedures for what to do if machine stops and who to notify.
• Explain what downtime logs are used for and the importance of accurate information.
• Keep press running as much as possible. Stopping time at end of shift is determined by your supervisor.
• Explain the process for steel changes, engaging only in activities for which they have been trained.
• Explain duties involved in assisting the changeovers (shakers, box rollers, banders, etc.)
• Explain proper pallet placement, box placement, taping and stapling procedures.

Packer Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. repetitively throughout shift.
• Ability to work in a loud manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work in a hot production environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach for extended periods during the shift.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
