Systems Engineer
Background
The MOSIS 2.0 PIES Team is part of the California DREAMS initiative, providing engineering support for users transitioning from research to production in RF, digital, and emerging 3D chiplet technologies. The team operates out of USC’s Information Sciences Institute with distributed partners at university labs and industry fabs.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain EDA tool flows for multiple vendors, emphasizing digital design workflows.
- Manage the cloud platform for EDA tool usage and the IP repository.
- Support internal and external EDA users.
- Develop and support a collaborative cloud‑based EDA ecosystem for hub and inter‑hub use.
- Experience using and developing flows for tools from Ansys, Cadence, Keysight, Siemens, and Synopsys (cross‑vendor experience preferred).
- Deployment and use of EDA tools on commercial cloud platforms.
- Background in analog and digital design.
- IP module maintenance and usage expertise.
- Applicants must obtain ITAR/EAR/OFAC clearance; only U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents are eligible.
- Minimum master’s degree in electrical engineering, materials science, physics, or a related field covering microelectronics principles and fabrication technologies.
- Five years of experience with a variety of EDA flows from multiple vendors, spanning analog and digital design and IP development.
Annual base salary range: $156,918 – $180,000.
