The Role

Join a precision manufacturing team operating honing and lapping machines on aerospace-grade components. You’ll work to exacting tolerances, verify dimensions with precision gauges, and uphold the standards that keep aircraft flying safely. We hire at three skill levels — from entry-level to expert.

Three Levels — One Career Path
  • Level I — Entry — 0–1 year of experience. Operates hone/lap machines per blueprint specs. Verifies dimensions and performs rough lapping with direction provided. Aerospace or close-tolerance machining background preferred.
  • Level II — Skilled — 2+ years in hone/lap operations. Independently selects tooling and media for moderately complex jobs. Performs initial machine setup, assists with gauging, and trains junior operators.
  • Level III — Expert — 5+ years in hone/lap operations. Expert-level setup, troubleshooting, and process development. Collaborates directly with engineering on improvements and mentors other operators.
What You’ll Do
  • Operate honing and lapping machines on inside and outside diameters of precision aerospace parts
  • Read blueprints and work orders to determine dimensions, tolerances, and tooling requirements
  • Verify parts with precision gauges; maintain equipment calibration and support data collection
  • Clean, deburr, and package finished components per manufacturing specifications
  • Work safely with appropriate PPE in a clean, seated bench environment
What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience strongly preferred at all levels
  • Lapping, honing experience. Grinding skills a strong plus
  • Comfort with arithmetic for taper, clearance, and cylindrical component characterization
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs; flexibility for overtime and weekend work
Benefits
  • Health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance — effective the first of the month following your start date
  • 15 days PTO accruing from day one + 12 paid holidays per year
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match
  • Education reimbursement eligible after 6 months

Precision matters. So does who does it.

If you take pride in tight tolerances, we want to hear from you.
