Reliability Engineering Technician ; 1st Shift

Tandem Diabetes Care is seeking a Reliability Engineering Technician to support engineering activities such as design verification, testing, and troubleshooting. The role is on‑site at our headquarters in Del Mar, CA and involves a 5:00am to 1:30pm PT schedule.

• Execute mechanical, system, and ongoing reliability testing from schematics, diagrams, and written procedures.
• Perform and analyze experiments, integrating work of self and others to complete the overall work plan.
• Write experimental summaries and technical reports, organize and present own data.
• Assist in the design, construction, test, and check‑out of test equipment.
• Perform operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
• Assist in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions.
• Record and compile data for documentation of test procedures.
• Review data for compliance with specifications and report abnormalities.
• Maintain department documentation, inventory of test materials, calibration, and preventive maintenance records; ensure equipment calibration is up-to-date.
• Confirm completion of required training before assuming job responsibilities.
• Perform all assignments in accordance with established safety procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.

• HS diploma or equivalent; AA Technical Degree or 2 years of equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in an engineering environment.
• Experience using manufacturing, test, development, or diagnostic equipment and test programs.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
• Ability to read and follow procedures and flow diagrams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to make clear recommendations.
• Proactive team player with commitment to team success.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks, completing assignments on time with minimal errors.
• Experience with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook; PowerPoint a plus).

  5:00am – 1:30pm PT, five days a week.

• Base pay: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour, based on experience and market conditions.
