JOB SUMMARYThe Pack-Tech role ensures that all assigned machines and equipment are producing a quality product at optimum efficiencies with minimal scrap, that all machines and equipment are well maintained, and that GMPs, safety, and work rules are fulfilled.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Adheres to GMP, food safety, HACCP and SQF process requirements; rectify and/or report any non-compliance to Management or the SQF practitioner immediately.
- Reports to all scheduled shifts and attends meetings as required.
- Operates handling equipment used to package cups, containers, straws and/or lids.
- Performs basic mechanical adjustments (temperature, air settings, water pressure, speed and hydraulic pressure).
- Replaces and documents simple worn out or broken mechanical components.
- Performs timely operator mechanical checks on all assigned equipment to ensure proper adjustments are maintained.
- Maintains established cycle settings on assigned machines to ensure production quality with minimal scrap.
- Cleans lines and detects jams or malfunctions of machines; makes adjustments as necessary.
- Complies with all safety rules, policies, procedures and practices, including performing LOTO on production equipment when required.
- Performs equipment evaluations at the start of the shift to ensure production flow is consistent.
- Performs quality checks and tests of the product, documenting findings on the inspector checklist.
- Inform leadership immediately of any failure to meet established quality standards to ensure corrective action is taken.
- Performs all assigned quality tests to measure product quality.
- Diagnoses and determines cause for machine malfunctions.
- Maintains a safe and clean work area at all times.
- Follows all GMP, safety, and work rules; performs other duties as assigned by Win Cup leadership.
