We are seeking an experienced Lamination Manager to lead the production of high-quality e-glass/carbon fiber boats. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with extensive knowledge of fiberglass composite construction, lamination processes, and marine manufacturing. This individual will be responsible for supervising daily production, maintaining quality standards, and supporting efficient operations throughout the lamination department.
A successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, decision-making abilities, technical expertise in composite manufacturing, an ability to prioritize and adjust production demands, and a commitment to producing world-class marine products.
Essential Responsibilities Manage daily operations of the lamination department to meet production schedules and quality objectives.
Plan, communicate, and adjust production priorities of the department.
Supervise, train, coach, and develop lamination technicians.
Develop and maintain process work instructions and product specifications.
Coordinate resources for product, tooling, and technicians to ensure smooth production flow and a high product quality.
Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in fiberglass composite manufacturing, marine/boat manufacturing preferred.
2+ years of supervisory or management experience in a production environment.
Strong understanding of marine composite construction techniques.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Required Technical Skills Fiberglass lamination, repair & refinishing
Epoxy lamination layup
Resin infusion bagging, vacuum infusion processes
Fairing application and surface finishing
Body work & primer application
Mold preparation, composite tooling and maintenance
Gelcoat repair and finishing
Composite quality inspection
Material inventory control and/or material sourcing
Safe handling of resins, catalysts, solvents, and hazardous chemicals with proper use of respirators and personal protective equipment (PPE)
Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with PPE requirements.
