Shift: 5pm - 3am, Monday to Thursday, occasional OT on Fridays and Saturdays.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a diverse team of approx. 20, ensuring the smooth operation of the foundry during the evening shift.
  • Develop and implement production schedules, coordinating resources and manpower to meet production targets.
  • Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Monitor and report on production performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
  • Handle work requests, coordinating with other departments and stakeholders as necessary.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all team members.
  • Address any issues or conflicts that may arise, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of our processes and systems, contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing operations.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a foundry / casting environment (permanent mold), with at least 2 of those years in a supervisory role.
  • Proven leadership skills, with a track record of leading and motivating a team.
  • Experience in scheduling, planning, and coordinating resources to meet production targets.
  • Strong training skills, with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Excellent reporting skills, with the ability to monitor and report on production performance.
  • Experience handling work requests, coordinating with other departments and stakeholders as necessary.
  • A strong commitment to safety, with experience in implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills, with the ability to address issues and conflicts effectively.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement, with a proactive approach to improving processes and systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
