CNC Laser/Brake Operator

Responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining CNC laser cutting and brake press machines to produce high-quality products.

  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC laser cutting and brake press machines to ensure accurate production of parts and materials based on work orders.
  • Program CNC machines according to blueprints and work order specifications, ensuring all required dimensions and tolerances are met.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to ensure proper machine operation and job completion.
  • Select and load materials into the CNC machines based on the specifications outlined in the work order. Ensure materials are available and meet quality standards.
  • Use a forklift or other material handling equipment to load and unload raw materials and finished parts from machines.
  • Perform routine quality checks to ensure parts meet the required specifications. Conduct inspections of finished products for quality assurance.
  • Modify machine settings as needed to adjust to job specifications, troubleshoot issues, and ensure machines are operating efficiently.
  • Monitor and track inventory levels of raw materials, tools, and supplies. Communicate with management to ensure stock is replenished as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with management and team members to report progress, address concerns, and collaborate on solutions to optimize production.
  • Follow safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
  • Assist with other brake press duties, machine setups, and general maintenance tasks as assigned by management.
  • Perform all duties as assigned

Technical or certification in CNC machining or related fields preferred; or relevant experience.

  • Ability to take initiative to complete work in process and solve problems with little direction
  • High attention to detail and tidiness
