Machine operator

Location: Ava

Penmac Staffing is now accepting application for a manufacturing plant in Ava, MO.These are for 2nd (3:30 pm to midnight) and 3rd shift (11:30 pm to 8:00 am).

Job Description
• Produce machined parts by programming, setting-up and operating a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine
• Maintain quality & safety standards
• Maintain equipment & supplies
• Verify settings by measuring positions and first-run parts
• Keep records
• Communicate with fellow team members

Physical Requirements
• Standing or walking short distances constantly (at least eight hours).
• Lifting 5-12 pound parts from thigh height to waist height occasionally (33% of the time).
• Lifting 5-12 pound parts from waist height to chest height frequently (50-75% of the time).
• Bending to the ground or stooping occasionally (33% of the time).
• Lifting 50-60 pound boxes of parts with help rarely (15% or less of the time).
• Machine cycle times vary from one to three minutes with load and unload duties necessary at the end of cycle times. Operators are typically responsible for a minimum of two machines.
• Operators process approximately two to three hundred parts per shift.

Shifts available are 2nd shift (M-F 3:30pm - 12:00am) and 3rd shift (Sun-Fri 11:30pm - 8:00am) must be available to work overtime on the weekends.
