Think Patented is looking for an experienced and dependable Digital Press Operator to join our production team, with a primary focus on operating our HP Indigo digital presses.

This position is ideal for someone with commercial digital printing experience who understands quality, color, registration, productivity, and the importance of keeping work moving through a fast-paced production environment.

While the primary responsibility will be digital press production, this position may also cross-train and assist in our Wide Format department as needed.

• Operate HP Indigo digital production presses
• Set up and run jobs according to job tickets and production specifications
• Load substrates and prepare materials for production
• Monitor color, registration, print quality, and consistency throughout each run
• Perform quality checks and identify potential problems before they impact production
• Troubleshoot routine press and print-quality issues
• Perform daily and routine operator maintenance
• Accurately record production information, job status, and downtime
• Maintain productivity while meeting established quality standards
• Communicate production issues or concerns to appropriate team members
• Work closely with Prepress, Scheduling, Customer Service, and other production departments
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Cross-train on additional digital and wide format equipment as needed

Our digital press department includes:

• HP Indigo 100K
• HP Indigo 18K
• HP Indigo 7800

Direct HP Indigo experience is highly desirable. However, candidates with strong experience operating other commercial digital production presses will also be considered.

While this role is primarily focused on HP Indigo production, the operator may also have opportunities to train on and support our Wide Format department, including equipment such as:

• HP Latex R2000
• Epson wide format printers
• Kongsberg digital cutting equipment

Wide format experience is a plus, but is not required.

• Commercial digital printing or production press experience preferred
• HP Indigo experience strongly preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Understanding of print quality, color, registration, and substrates
• Ability to read and follow job tickets and production specifications
• Strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working with computers and digital production workflows
• Ability to manage multiple jobs and changing production priorities
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment
• Willingness to learn additional equipment and production processes
