Fitter Welder

Webco Manufacturing is seeking a skilled Fitter Welder to join our precision sheet metal fabrication team in Alto, GA. In this role, you'll interpret blueprints, fit components, and perform MIG/TIG welding to produce high-quality custom metal products for diverse industries. You'll work with advanced fabrication equipment, ensure parts meet tight tolerances, and uphold rigorous safety and quality standards. In our team-oriented, craftsmanship-driven culture, you'll collaborate with engineers and peers, contribute to continuous improvement, and grow your technical skills in a stable, expanding manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings to prepare weldments and fittings
• Set up, fit, and tack weld components to specified dimensions and tolerances
• Perform MIG/TIG welding on sheet metal and structural components
• Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, brakes, and grinders safely
• Inspect welds and assemblies to meet quality and dimensional standards
• Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and shop housekeeping practices
• Collaborate with engineers and team members to resolve fabrication issues
• Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
• Maintain welding equipment and report maintenance needs
• Document work performed per company and customer requirements
