PURPOSE OF JOB

The Pull Cart Coordinator is responsible for managing pull cart inventory, maintaining inventory accuracy within Genius, ordering replacement parts, coordinating with production and planning teams, and ensuring pull carts are fully stocked and available for manufacturing operations. This position plays a critical role in supporting production flow by monitoring inventory levels, processing inventory transactions, and maintaining accurate records.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Pull Cart Management
  • Receive pull carts returned from Production.
  • Verify cart movement from Production to Fab using the Cart Tracker.
  • Print and maintain cart inventory sheets.
  • Perform physical inventory counts and document inventory levels.
  • Reconcile physical inventory with inventory records in Genius.
Inventory Control
  • Execute Pick and Drop transactions within Genius to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Research and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Transfer inventory between work cells, carts, and storage locations as required.
  • Maintain inventory levels without exceeding cart maximum quantities.
  • Update inventory sheets with all inventory adjustments.
Parts Ordering
  • Review cart inventory requirements and identify shortages.
  • Create part orders in Genius to replenish carts to established maximum levels.
  • Monitor open orders and track incoming materials.
  • Coordinate with Laser Planners by communicating cart names and associated job numbers.
Material Processing
  • Receive parts from Fab and Machine Shop operations.
  • Verify job numbers and part information.
  • Scan cart-specific parts to the appropriate pull cart locations.
  • Scan excess materials and stock parts into designated storage locations.
  • Ensure all inventory transactions are completed accurately and timely.
Documentation & Tracking
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and transaction history.
  • Complete and sign inventory sheets upon cart completion.
  • Update the Cart Tracker with current cart status.
  • Move completed carts to designated finished locations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform inventory counts and recordkeeping.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Effective communication skills.
Preferred
  • Experience with inventory management systems or ERP software.
  • Experience using Genius or similar manufacturing inventory software.
  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, material handling, or inventory control experience.
  • Forklift certification (if required by facility).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong inventory management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Understanding of material flow within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work with multiple departments, including Production, Fab, Machine Shop, and Planning.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining inventory accuracy and process compliance.
Success Measures
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in Genius.
  • Keep pull carts stocked to required maximum levels.
  • Ensure inventory transactions are completed correctly and timely.
  • Minimize production delays caused by material shortages.
  • Maintain complete and accurate cart documentation and tracking records.
WORKING CONDITIONS

Typically working in a manufacturing environment. Will at times be exposed to heat, cold, inclement weather, noise, vibration, welding sparks, grease, oil, and diesel fuel. Will often be required to stand for extended periods of time while working in a fast-paced environment, especially when working with tight deadlines.
