Position Title: Experienced CNC Operator
Wage: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
Shift: 2nd
Hours: 3:30pm-12:00am (Mon-Fri)
QPS Employment Group has a great Experienced CNC Operator position available at a company in Glendale, MO. This is a 2nd shift position with the opportunity for hire.
Experienced CNC Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines (mills and/or lathes) to produce precision parts according to blueprints and job specifications.
- Load materials, install tooling, verify program settings, and perform first-article inspections.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, work instructions, and inspection requirements.
- Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators).
- Make tool offsets, minor program edits, and adjustments to ensure dimensional accuracy and optimal machine performance.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, or quality issues and communicate findings to supervision or engineering as needed.
- Maintain machines through routine cleaning, maintenance, and basic preventative care.
- Accurately complete production, quality, and inspection documentation.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with company and 5S standards.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Strong ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T.
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools and inspection techniques.
- Solid understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, and controls.
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Technical or vocational training in CNC machining or manufacturing technology preferred.
- Experience with multi-axis CNC machines preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement practices preferred.
- Experience working with tight tolerances and complex components preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds preferred.
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for precision machining and inspection preferred.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with machinery, noise, and moving equipment preferred.
