Forklift Operator And Material Handler at Aerotek Madrid County, MO

About the Role

This is a dynamic, seasonal warehouse role that evolves throughout the year. The Forklift Operator / Material Handler is central to seed production, handling tasks from harvest to packaging and shipping. The role requires adaptability, reliability, and readiness to work across seasons.

• Receive and process crop trucks during harvest (Sept-Oct)
• Clean combines and support harvest operations
• Supply seeds to the Conditioning department
• Apply treatments, label, tag, bag, and palletize seeds (Nov-Mar)
• Enter inventory data into computer systems
• Stage and ship seed products
• Retag and re-bag returned seeds (Apr-Aug)
• Inspect and wash pro boxes for reuse

• Knowledge of production agriculture or plant operations
• Ability to work safely while maintaining seed quality
• Strong decision-making and teamwork skills
• Forklift experience preferred
• Reliable transportation and punctuality
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 60 lbs and work in varied environments
• Willingness to work long hours, rotational shifts, and overtime

Indoor and outdoor work with lots of walking.

Rotating schedule every 4 weeks.

Shifts:

Day Shift 6:00 AM–4:30 PM (Mon–Thurs);
Night Shift 4:00 PM–2:30 AM (Mon–Thurs). Night shift pay increase for hours worked after 6 PM.

Contract position based in New Madrid, MO.

Pay range: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour.
