Immediate full‑time Junior Operator needed at our Sabine Pass, LA location. The plant houses a large installation of ACF, MMF, RO, and FEDITM. Hours are a DuPont 12 / Cheniere shift. The Junior Operator will report to the O&M Manager and will be a non‑exempt employee.
Responsibilities- Monitor plant operation.
- Keep records of operation.
- Perform quality checks and chemistry control.
- Report abnormalities to the plant supervisor.
- Load and unload consumable chemicals.
- Load treated water into trucks.
- Monitor filter press operation.
- Coordinate sludge storage and movement.
- Assist plant operators in collecting water samples.
- Assist in plant maintenance as required.
- Communicate effectively with customers and maintain a positive attitude and good organizational skills.
- Apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Be hands‑on and carry out tasks with minimal monitoring.
- Pay close attention to detail.
- Experienced in operating and maintaining industrial water treatment plants involving at least some of the following:
Pretreatment (P.T), Demineralization (DM), Reverse Osmosis (RO), Ultra‑filtration, Electro‑deionization (EDI), Thermal Desalination, and Zero‑Liquid Discharge (ZLD). - Knowledge and experience in chemical processes involved in pre‑treatment, demineralization, and reverse osmosis is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of water chemistry.
- Ability to perform basic water analysis in the lab.
- Experience maintaining daily / weekly operation logs.
- Exposure to PLC / HMI based plant operation systems.
- Troubleshooting of filtration plants, membrane systems, and electro‑deionization plants.
- Experience in maintenance of valves, pumps, and instruments.
- Well versed with safety aspects such as chemical handling, confined space entry, etc.
- TWIC Card.
- High School Diploma.
