Job Description

The Post Harvest Tech I supports daily post harvest operations by assisting with the processing of cannabis material after harvest. This entry level role focuses on production based tasks, following established SOPs, and completing tasks efficiently and safely. Core responsibilities include hanging harvests to dry, bucking, trimming, sorting, and general material movement, along with possible basic data logging and equipment cleaning.

They are gaining experience with product issue identification and removal. The Tech I works closely with tech 3's, leads and supervisors, follows direction well, and contributes to maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant workspace. This role is ideal for someone reliable, detail oriented, and eager to learn the full post harvest process.

  • Quality Control on Conveyor Line:
  • Perform quality control checks on cannabis batches as they move along the conveyor line.
  • Ensure compliance with established quality standards and promptly report any deviations or issues to the supervisor.
  • Assist in the removal of plants or flowers with quality defects, maintaining product integrity.
  • Harvest and Drying Support:
  • Assist in the harvest and drying process as directed by the team lead.
  • Participate in the preparation and setup of drying rooms and equipment.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized work environment to maximize efficiency.
  • Machine Operations:
  • Operate and maintain the B4 Bucking machines as instructed by team lead.
  • Assist with the burping and takedown processes to facilitate optimal drying conditions.
  • Follow safety protocols when operating equipment to minimize risks.
  • Quality Control and Defect Identification:
  • Learn to identify quality defects, such as mold, pests, or other abnormalities, in cannabis plants or flower.
  • Work closely with Tech II, Tech III and Leads to remove afflicted plants or flower from the production line, ensuring the highest product quality.
  • Cleaning of totes and equipment necessary to perform daily tasks.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
