The Doe Run Company is currently seeking a Production Supervisor to supervise respective crew to achieve production, safety, and environmental goals and requirements of the plant. This is a 10-hr day shift position located at the Buick Resource Recycling Division (BRRD) in Boss, MO.

Based in St. Louis, Missouri, The Doe Run Company is a privately held natural resources company and one of the largest lead producers in the Western Hemisphere. Responsibilities:

• Create a positive, respectful atmosphere among crew, fostering a team environment and open communication.
• Observe production and assigned areas to assure production is progressing. Attend meetings to stay abreast of any issues or concerns.
• Review and prioritize work orders and assign work to crew members according to their skills and priorities.
• Supervise, coach, and follow up for work completion; ensure safe and environmentally compliant work area and that rules are followed and tools, proper clothing, and equipment are used. Includes maintain cleanliness of work areas.
• Handle requisitions for parts and supplies and complete time sheets, production reports, and other necessary paperwork.
• Monitor and inspect equipment (including mobile equipment if necessary), complete minor repairs and maintenance when possible, submit repair maintenance work orders, and schedule preventive maintenance for plant equipment when needed.
• Maintain EHS (environmental, health and safety) compliance by holding direct reports accountable for adherence to EHS policies, procedures and best practices; evaluating employee EHS performance via field observations and document review; reporting and correcting unsafe acts or conditions, incidents, and deviations; and providing feedback to support continuous improvement in EHS performance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial operations or manufacturing
• Prior supervision experience is preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Databases, Budgeting Software, Invoicing Software, I-Series, People Soft, MMS, and HRIS systems.

• Strong Interpersonal communication skills
• Conflict resolution and delegation
• Knowledge of lean/6 sigma principles
• Knowledge of general chemistry

Work Environment &

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly uses a computer and phone. Rarely uses hand tools (powered and non-powered) and cutting/welding equipment.
• Regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions and wet, humid, hot, or cold (non-weather) conditions. Frequently exposed to extreme temperatures.
