Production Lead - Internal

Lead - An advanced and experienced Operator able to oversee a line and effectively lead the team.

• Able to operate all Advanced workstations (palletizer, labeler, foiler, filler) with a high level of proficiency.

• Able to assess risks and execute complex procedures independently, including unusual or one-off tasks, and lead and instruct other team members to accomplish these tasks as a team

• Able to lead and direct other team members to set up new products or complex line processes effectively

• Demonstrates high competence in all standard WMS tasks, is able to generate and review WMS reports and identify and correct errors.

• Anticipates and prepares for line and order changes to ensure efficient operation

• Able to deploy team members to effectively respond to complex or multi-faceted startup issues and prioritize responses

• Able to independently complete / lead full changeover process on two or more advanced machines: filler, foiler, labeler

• Able to do daily line start-up on one line (disgorge, tirage or charmat) independently, coordinating work of other start-up team members.

• Coaches team members to identify and respond to common issues

• Pro-active in suggesting logical solutions/ options to address issues or make improvements

• Plan for/manage resources to ensure line(s) run to maximum efficiency and capacity

• Pro-actively reviews schedules to anticipate changes

• Able to identify areas for improvement and suggest steps to achieve

• Actively promotes engagement of team members is alert to and appropriately reports issues with team member engagement

• Accepts responsibility to support people issues and report issues appropriately to Supervisors

• Actively communicates goals to team and gives recognition for excellent performance

• Encourages employee responsibility appropriate to their level of competence

• High school diploma or GED required.

• English

• 3 years’ winery production experience preferred.

• Knowledge of safe production practices, including safety of equipment and ability to follow procedures.

• Forklift Certification is a plus and offers opportunities for expanded responsibilities.

• Ability to understand and perform basic math.

• Ability to understand and perform basic measurements.

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
