Powerhouse Technician – 3rd Shift

Pay: $26.80–$36.70/hour + $1.00/hour shift differential

Schedule:

Wednesday–Saturday, 8:00 PM–6:30 AM

Sign-On Bonus: $2,500

• Operate and maintain industrial ammonia refrigeration systems

• Monitor and operate boiler systems

• Operate air compressors and related utility equipment

• Monitor pumps, valves, motors, fans, and condensers

• Perform preventive maintenance on powerhouse and utility equipment

• Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical equipment problems

• Read gauges and monitor operating conditions

• Record and interpret equipment and system data

• Perform water testing for refrigeration, boiler, and wastewater systems

• Support condenser water treatment

• Perform basic repairs on pumps, valves, fans, motors, and related equipment

• Use schematics to troubleshoot equipment

• Perform basic plumbing work

• Work closely with wastewater and other plant departments

• Maintain clean and organized equipment areas

• Follow required safety procedures when working around ammonia and other hazardous chemicals

• Document maintenance and operating information using computer systems

• Industrial utilities

• Ammonia refrigeration

• Industrial refrigeration

• Powerhouse operations

• Boiler operations

• HVAC

• Wastewater

• Compressor systems

• Pumps and valves

• Water treatment

  Industrial mechanical maintenance

• Facilities or plant utilities

Candidates do not necessarily need to come in as fully experienced ammonia technicians. Candidates with a strong mechanical or utility foundation and a willingness to learn may be considered.

Candidates should have:

• High school diploma/GED with 1+ years of related industrial mechanical, utility, refrigeration, or food manufacturing experience

OR

• Approximately 4 years of directly related industrial mechanical or manufacturing maintenance experience #LP
