Senior Specialist in Marketing and Digital Communications
Join the Clean Energy Revolution. As a Senior Specialist in Marketing and Digital Communications at Southern California Edison (SCE), you will lead innovative marketing strategies that impact both business and residential customers. You’ll manage a portfolio of Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) and wildfire communications programs, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with business objectives. Your efforts will enhance the customer experience through multi-channel campaigns, driving engagement and delivering meaningful results.
You will strategically utilize our dynamic marketing technology stack to deliver automated communications journeys and best-in-class customer experiences. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, leveraging data-driven insights and SCE’s Mar Tech stack to optimize automated marketing efforts, improve customer engagement, and track performance metrics.
With a budget ranging from $5–10 MM, you’ll support strategic campaigns and regulatory mandates, working closely with external partners and the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). As a Senior Specialist, your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions, and create cleaner air for everyone.
Responsibilities- Produce a wide range of marketing and communication content and materials such as press releases, case studies, and website/newsletter articles.
- Oversee individual communication journeys and share results with critical team members. Interact with design and development teams to validate solutions that meet customer requirements in terms of technical, cost, and schedule.
- Create an advocacy program that encourages satisfied customers to proactively recommend the company for future growth.
- Ensure all marketing communication initiatives adhere to the company’s marketing and brand guidelines and messaging standards.
- Monitor the marketing and communications activities in terms of the project budget, ROI, and campaign performance.
- Develop strategy with event teams to deliver strategic events that support the overall marketing and sales strategy and pipeline goals.
- Develop marketing communications campaigns by understanding media coverage and industry trends and developing fresh story ideas to propel the company forward.
- Optimize databases of communications materials to enable fast response and accurate engagement activities.
- Ensure the protection of all physical, financial, cybersecurity assets, and private customer data, proprietary information, and other highly sensitive information with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
- Five or more years of experience in marketing, advertising, or communications.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field.
- Experience implementing automated offer management using Salesforce Marketing Cloud or equivalent enterprise-grade multi-channel marketing hub.
- Vendor management experience.
- Experience with multi‑channel marketing strategy and planning (media, banner, radio, etc.) driven by sophisticated analytics and data modeling.
- Utility or other highly regulated industry experience.
- Experience with enterprise marketing software – Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Hub Spot, Marketo, Adobe Experience Cloud or similar.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
