Commercial Production Tech, KSBY

The Commercial Production Technician assists with writing, blocking, shooting, lighting, scheduling, and editing of all commercial and promotional productions, including public service announcements for the station and clients. This is a union position.

• Work closely with the Creative Services Director, Sales management, and staff on the execution of results-driven advertising campaigns and script ideas.
• Under the direction of management, work closely with the sales department, clients, and talent while on shoots.
• Direct clients on shoots as necessary.
• Coordinate promotional and advertising campaigns for the station and clients for publication.
• Assist Sales with creative concepts for clients.
• Work in coordination with the Creative Services Director to execute the final product, including commercial and promotional script concepts.
• Provide support for writing, blocking, shooting, lighting, scheduling, and editing of commercial content.
• Utilize the Graphics Hub or design graphics and special effects to be used in commercial spots, station promotions, and news.
• Work with network and syndicated affiliates to support programming on-air and online.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

High School diploma or GED;
Vocational or technical training preferred 1 to 3 years of related experience Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Strong writing, shooting, lighting, scheduling, and editing skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Creative Services, Sales, clients, and talent.
• Creative mindset with the ability to support results-driven advertising and promotional campaigns.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work professionally with internal teams and external clients.
• Working knowledge of graphics, special effects, commercial production, station promotions, and online/on-air programming support.
