Role:
Director of Product & Pipeline Communications at Travere Therapeutics
focusing on strategic communication support for marketed products like FILSPARI and pipeline assets in rare diseases, including homocystinuria and kidney disorders.
Responsibilities:- develop integrated communication strategies
- create messaging and materials for clinical updates, regulatory milestones, and product lifecycle
- collaborate across R&D, Medical, Regulatory, Commercial, Patient Advocacy, and Investor Relations
- manage external agencies, projects, and budgets
- support media relations and digital content
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or related field
- 10+ years in corporate or product communications within biotech, pharma, or healthcare
- experience supporting marketed products and pipeline milestones
- preferably in rare diseases, nephrology, or metabolic disorders
- excellent scientific storytelling
- understanding of drug development and commercialization
- project management
- stakeholder collaboration
- rare disease focus
- pipeline and commercial support
- experience with clinical and regulatory communications
- cross-functional stakeholder engagement
- domestic/international travel (~15-20%)
primarily onsite in San Diego, with some travel; no remote-only roles.
