Youth Director (First Baptist Church Rogersville, Mo.)

First Baptist Church of Rogersville, Mo., located in a growing & thriving community, is seeking a Youth Director who will provide visionary oversight and pastoral leadership to the students of First Baptist Church Rogersville. In this position we are seeking a born-again believer of Jesus Christ, who has felt a strong calling from the Lord to minister to students grades 7-12.

We desire to see a strong Christ Centered foundation within our student ministry, with the goal of discipling the next generation, raising up leaders, and sending them out.

Qualifications:

• Is a born-again believer with a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ.
• A member in good standing of a Southern Baptist Church.
• God-Centered
• A Spirit-led “self-starter” able to work without direct supervision.
• Understands the needs of and has an affinity for young people.
• Is teachable and open to feedback and accountability.

Responsibilities:

• Provide visionary oversight, leading the student ministry of First Baptist Church Rogersville.
  • Encouraging their spiritual growth and challenging them to grow in their commitment to Christ and His mission.
  • Develop and support the leadership team.
  • Planning of events (i.e., weekly gatherings, monthly fun events, outreach events, etc.)
  • Involving students in Mission Trip opportunities.
• Embody and nurture the vision/mission held by First Baptist Rogersville
  • Connect regularly with other ministry leaders to maintain unity between ministries.
  • Attend all worship services, staff meetings.
• Provide individualized support, nurturing of gifts, and discipleship.
  • Provide one-on-one discipleship.
  • A desire to grow our student ministry, reaching students for Christ as well as discipling them.
  • Leading a Christ-like lifestyle, praying regularly for those in the youth ministry and church body.
  • Building & maintaining relationships with parents of the students.

The Youth Director position is a bi-vocational part time position. As a member of the Ministry Team, the Youth Director is supervised by the Senior Pastor and shall become a member of First Baptist Church Rogersville.
