We partner with non‑profits, community‑based organizations, commissions, and other government agencies to provide services such as social, educational and recreational services, training and education programs, accessibility services, wellness and nutrition programs, emergency preparedness and response programs, home‑delivery meal services, in‑home visiting programs, crisis intervention, and legal services involving fraud, abuse, neglect, exploitation, and other issues that pertain to the older and dependent adults in the community.
We are recruiting to fill Community Center Specialist II positions in the Community and Senior Service Centers.
The Community Center Specialist II position works on‑site Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at one of our 13 listed locations based on staffing needs.

The team member we are searching for should be passionate about serving communities and older adults, skilled in leading and supporting staff, and dedicated to fostering trust and collaboration with diverse partners. They should be very well organized, communicative, and experienced in coordinating community‑based programs while maintaining accurate documentation and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
DefinitionActs as assistant to an administrative head of a diversified multi‑program community service or senior center.
Classification StandardsPositions allocable to this class are found in the Department of Aging & Disabilities and receive technical direction from a Community Center Director. These positions serve as lead staff in a community service or senior center and have responsibility for coordinating the work of community center and auxiliary staff who provide direct and outreach human services to a large client population in a specific geographic area.
Incumbents must possess a thorough knowledge of community needs, resources and problems. Incumbents must also be aware of private community agencies interested in specialized activities and must be able to resolve community problems.
Two (2) years of experience in a responsible administrative, supervisory, consultative or staff capacity in the field of human services such as employment, social welfare, or community services. The required experience must have included active participation in identifying community problems…
