Youth Minister Norwood Baptist Church

Norwood Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a Part‑Time Youth Minister to serve our 7th‑12th grade students and their families. The church is a Southern Baptist congregation located in the small village of Norwood, Louisiana, in East Feliciana Parish and an hour north of Baton Rouge. We are a multigenerational, mission‑oriented church that values a young person’s spiritual growth and seeks a like‑minded Youth Minister.

The church is healthy, vibrant, and growing, and our youth group is in the process of regrowth after a large graduating senior class.

• Work with and under the leadership of the pastor.
• Lead and develop the youth ministry.
• Nurture a strong foundation in teenage students.
• Develop and maintain a yearly calendar of youth activities, events, retreats, and camps.
• Build relationships with youth and parents by providing support, guidance, and sharing faith lovingly.
• Seek out unchurched or unsaved families with youth in and around the community.
• Ensure the appropriate integration of the total youth program into the overall church program.

Seminary training is not required, but it is beneficial and the church will support such ongoing training. The position is eligible for the NOBTS Caskey Scholarship (full tuition up to $8,000 annually) for undergraduate or master’s study.
