About
First Baptist Church Diamond is seeking a full-time Children’s Minister to lead and grow our ministry to children (birth through 6th grade) and their families. Our church averages 250–300 in weekly attendance and has a vibrant children’s ministry with great potential for continued growth. We are looking for someone who is passionate about making disciples, loves children and families, thinks creatively, and is willing to take wise risks to reach new families with the gospel.
ResponsibilitiesThe Children’s Minister will serve under the Senior Pastor and work alongside the church staff to develop and lead a discipleship strategy for children and families that supports the mission of the church. Responsibilities include overseeing Sunday morning Children’s Worship, Wednesday night Diamond Kids Klub, family events, outreach opportunities, volunteer recruitment and training, ministry planning, budgeting, and leadership development. This person will help equip parents to disciple their children and create an engaging, Christ-centered environment where children can grow in their faith.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate has a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, a clear call to children’s ministry, strong leadership and communication skills, and experience working with children and families (4–5 years preferred). They should enjoy building relationships, developing volunteers, working as part of a team, and helping the ministry continue to grow. Candidates must be able to pass a background check.
CompensationCompensation: $40,000 salary, health insurance, and annuity. Office
Hours:
Monday–Thursday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
