Overview
The RN Outpatient works under the supervision of the Director or Practice Manager and under the direction of the provider. The RN Outpatient performs patient assessment and follows established standards and practices for nursing care. May delegate responsibilities and provide clinical oversight to other unlicensed nursing staff. May be required to work in other areas according to skill of staff and acuity of patients.

The RN Outpatient works under the supervision of the Director or Practice Manager and under the direction of the provider. The RN Outpatient performs patient assessment and follows established standards and practices for nursing care. May delegate responsibilities and provide clinical oversight to other unlicensed nursing staff. May be required to work in other areas according to skill of staff and acuity of patients.
Provides exceptional service to all patients and customers.
- Greets and prepares patient for provider examination and treatment. Performs general nursing care to patients.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
- Assists provider with procedures and properly maintains equipment before and after procedures.
- Engages in patient/family teaching to achieve the desired patient outcome.
- Review medical charts for completeness. Documents all medications, refills, telephone conversations and patient visits in the medical record.
- Graduate of school of nursing
- Licensed in State of Missouri or Kansas, depending upon designated work location. If operating a motor vehicle for business purposes, must have a valid driver’s license. BLS certification required within 90 days from start date.
- One-year nursing experience preferred.
