Correct Health currently has an exciting PRN opportunity to join our growing team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Jennings, LA!

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) participates in the clinical aspects of patient care with all members of the healthcare team and law enforcement. Performs duties under the supervision of the RN, HSA, Mid Level Provider, Physician, or the administrative supervision of the HSC. Possesses knowledge and ability to provide quality care as well as respond to needs within the correctional environment.

Maintains the standard and ethics of nursing in accordance with applicable State Board of Nursing and other accrediting agencies.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical nursing care to patients in the correctional facility.
  • Assist with patient assessments, medication administration, and health assessments.
  • Collaborate with RN, HSA, Mid Level Provider, Physician, and HSC for comprehensive patient care.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and maintain quality care in the corrections environment.
  • Maintain nursing standards and ethics per state and accrediting agencies.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from a national or state approved school of nursing program.
  • Hold and maintain a current license to practice as an LPN in the state of employment.
  • American Heart Association BLS certified.
  • Corrections experience is a plus.
Required Licenses & Certifications
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
  • BLS Certification
