SSM Health DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton, MO, and SSM Health St. Joseph West Hospital in Lake St. Louis are recruiting for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our Complex Care Clinic.

This is a PRN/Fill‑In role that offers a competitive rate based on experience, malpractice coverage, but no other benefits.

• Work outpatient, covering a minimum of two shifts per month at SSM Health St. Joseph West Hospital.
• Provide provider PTO and sick days coverage at both hospitals.
• Complete pre‑surgery evaluations and determine optimization needs based on algorithms and clinical pathways.
• Optimize medical conditions and coordinate care with patients’ PCPs or specialists.
• Limited ordering of testing and medications in this portion of the role.
• Provide transitional care in a post‑discharge clinic focused on preventing readmissions; evaluate patients within the first week after discharge, assess status, and treat or refer as needed.
• Perform strong evaluation and assessment, with limited diagnostic workups and prescriptions.

• Master’s degree in Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• At least 2 years of experience working as an NP or PA in Internal Medicine/Adult Primary Care.
• Missouri registered nurse license and advanced practice nurse licensure or a certified physician assistant credential.
