Responsibilities

Under the direction of the RN or LPN, the candidate assists in the individualized care of the patient to achieve the patient's highest level of wellness. The role performs designated clinical procedures and non‑clinical support tasks essential to providing care to the patient.

• Enrolled in nursing prerequisites, or actively enrolled in a nursing program at a participating school (RN & LPN).
• Completion of the application and submission of resume, letter of recommendation, and unofficial transcript (if applicable).

• Up to $10,000 per year in tuition support.
• Funding for 1 year of prerequisites and 2 years of nursing program.
• Coverage of tuition, books, registration, lab and technology fees, clinical scrubs, and more.
• Helps ensure a smoother transition to professional practice post‑graduation.
• Direct career pathway opportunities within Mercy Hospital Perry.

Must be able to work a minimum of 16 hours per pay period (every 2 weeks) in a clinical role such as Patient Care Associate, Patient Care Tech, Nurse Tech, or similar.

Must sign a contract agreeing to work 1–3 years at Mercy Hospital Perry after graduation (commitment length depends on the amount of financial support received).
