• Shift: 08:30 – 21:00, Weekend option (Sunday & Saturday with 1 weekday shift dependent on staffing needs)
• One‑year commitment required for this scheduling option; no call requirement; holidays covered when they fall on weekend or normal scheduled weekday

• Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of standards of nursing care.
• Promotes patient and family‑centered care in a healing environment.
• Educates patients and families on managing illness or injury, including post‑treatment home care needs and medication administration.
• Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; participates in professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with interprofessional team members, patients, families or caregivers in accordance with established guidelines and standards.
• Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
• Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs.
• Safety‑Sensitive Position: The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is essential.

• Education:
  
  Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing
• License: RN

  Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Experience:
  
  Less than 2 years, with six months of recent related experience in general surgery/ACCS, orthopaedic trauma, plastics, etc. preferred.
