Nurse Surveyor Supervisor

About the Position

Salary: $8,240.00 - $10,246.00 per month. New‑to‑State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or the minimum of the alternate range when applicable.

Work Location: Kern County, California.

Telework: Hybrid schedule may be available in accordance with the CDPH Telework Policy and Procedures.

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time.

Responsibilities:

• Provide first‑level supervision to Nurse Surveyors responsible for surveying healthcare facilities and enforcing licensing and certification standards in accordance with state, federal, and local laws and regulations.
• Review all reports, surveys, and correspondence prepared by field staff and State Fire Marshalls.
• Communicate with the public and health‐facility operators/administrators regarding policy, procedures, and regulatory interpretations.
• Collaborate with program personnel to ensure quality work and performance, achieve established goals and objectives, and fulfill the mission of the Department.
• Manage up to 25% travel as required.
• Work under the direction of the Nurse Surveyor Supervisor II (NSS II).
