• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state requirements must be met prior to start)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification — required prior to first shift
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification — required prior to first shift
• Minimum 1 year of recent bedside clinical experience in Med/Surg or a similar medical-surgical setting
• Strong assessment, documentation, and clinical communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for medical-surgical patients
• Deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care while ensuring patient safety and following hospital policies and protocols
• Supervise and support Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientee nurses as needed
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, care coordination, and patient rehabilitation planning
• Initiate discharge planning and provide patient and family education from admission through discharge
• Maintain a safe clinical environment by following infection control and safety guidelines
• Contribute positively to unit morale, efficiency, and continuous quality improvement efforts
• Pursue ongoing professional development and continuing education relevant to Med/Surg nursing
